British Citizenship After 10 years

Hi

My uncle got ILR in 2010 after long residence 14 years rules.
he wants to apply for Naturalisation after completing 5 years .But he went to solicitor and he said that rules are changed and in my uncle case he will be eligible to apply for naturalisation in 2020 .Solicitor explained that rules are changed......................is there is any new rules???

please advice

Yes if there has been any period of illegal stay without a valid visa.

he is legal since 2010 and no absence and does fulfilment all requirements as well
still he have to wait for 10 years??

If he first became legal in 2010, then he will only be able to apply in 2020. The solicitor was correct.
