Clarification needed on how to apply.

So my parents moved to England taking me with them back in 2006. Now it's coming up for me to have lived in the UK for a total of 10 years completing my SAT's and GCSE's within the UK and now studying in college doing AS Level.
I am finding the GOV website to be quite confusing and finding information on how to apply in the position I am in quite confusing as well due to the fact I wish to apply as soon as I turn 18 which is later this year.
I am obviously not planning to return to Poland as not only do I struggle with the language having lived within the UK the majority of my life.

Now I am a little confused as to the requirements.

From what I read I cannot use my GCSE English Language and Literature pass at B grade for the Knowledge of English test from what I understood within the table provided on the GOV website.

From the current standpoint I am slightly confused as to where I am supposed to apply for that test as well as the life in the UK test being only 17 and applying when I turn 18 soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I wish to get this sorted out as soon as I physically can.

EU citizens require proof of permanent residence to apply for citizenship. You will need to apply for this document first, cost is £65.

Life in the UK (click) you will need to find a centre close to where you live.

List of English Test Providers (click). You need level B1 for citizenship.

If your parents have been in UK for some time are they planning to naturalise?

If they are settled in UK & happen to be thinking of applying to naturalise then you could be registered as a citizen at the same time.

Note minors (under 18) apply to register as citizens, (not naturalise).

If you are able to apply before you turn age 18 you will simplify matters for yourself.
Minors (aged under 18) do not need to take the LITUK test nor prove any proficiency in English.

However as (I assume) you were born abroad you would be registered 'at discretion' & would have to do it together with your parents applications (and before age 18).

Otherwise you are correct in thinking you can naturalise in your own right at age 18 or older, as soon as you can meet all the requirements.

I'm not aware of any age restrictions about applying to take the LITUK test nor the English SELT test.

To book LITUK see: https://www.gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test/ ... in-uk-test

Unfortunately GCSEs are not accepted for proof of English.

For English SELT choose & book at one of the providers detailed here:
