Hi,

Hope I can get some clarification for a friend.

She applied to naturalise her child based on him having spent his first 10 years ( born in Uk). Still has 6 months left on DL granted I think 2 years ago (this was as part of his mother's discretionary leave under private life.

He had to have another biometrics done etc anyway she's now received a letter to the effect that her sons case is complicated so it will take over 6 months!

Has anyone received this letter?

It appears to be a standard response due to case workers falling behind standard processing times. In other words...they're covering their 'backsides' from complaints due to the delays.
