British citizenship complex issue

Hi everyone, please I will need your help on my partner British citizenship application. Brief of her history in the UK..... She came to the UK in 2008 on 9 months student dependant, her spouse started abusing her and refused to renew her visa which led to a domestic violence. In 2009 she renew her visa for 1 year under domestic violence and in 2010 she got her ILR. In Aug 2015,she applied for her naturalization which she did pass her life in the UK test and the English language test before she applied. She is support worker with a good character, she has never travel out of the UK since she came here in 2008. My question now base on the letter HO sent to her after the biometric done.few weeks after the biometric, HO sent another letter stated that "your case may be longer than the normal processing time,as your case is complex."..... Did anyone know what they mean by that, or does that means they might refuse her?... Please any help will be appreciated. Thanks God bless.

That's the standard letter they send if it is taking them more than 6 months to process the application. It says nothing about the potential outcome of the application, probably just being done to cover their backs.
Strange that they sent you the letter very early though, but probably nothing to worry about. Just sit tight and hope for a positive outcome. Does she meet the new good character requirements? Was she ever in breach of any immigration laws in the UK?

Other forum members have reported receiving similar emails in the past month or so.

HO appears to have been sending such messages recently almost as a matter of course.
It may simply indicate the application is delayed and is stuck in a backlog.

There is nothing more to be read into it.

If HO does have questions about your partner's application they will certainly be in contact with questions.

For now try not to worry unduly.

Thanks so much "LilyLalilu". I thought as much though! Regard the good character, she met all the requirements and she has never breach any immigration laws. I pray everything should work out for favour. Thanks so much.
