Naturalisation enquiry

Hi everyone I was wondering if someone can help me

I came in this country in 2002 on a 6 month visiting visa. I then seemed asylum in 2007 and I was granted refugee status in 2009. I then got my ilr in May 2014

I'm looking to apply for naturalisation but does the law of overstaying affect refugees? Or should I wait for 3 years?

I will be sending my children's application as they have ilr since May 2014

Thanks

Breaches of immigration law will violate the 'good character' requirements for privilege of citizenship & can result in a 10-year ban.

Where were children born & what is immigration status of other parent?

This, together with your circumstances, impacts the registration process for your cbildren.

Hi thanks for your reply. My kids were born here and their dad has dlr. I'm wondering if I should make an appointment with ncs maybe they might call home office before I apply for myself

Suggest you thread through Ambers' advice which she put together and see if this applies to your case.
