Travelling without receiving MN1 reg

Hi,
I and my wife have ILRs on Indian passport.
My daughter's visa who was Tier-1 dependent has expired. We have applied for her MN1.
Her MN1 reg has not come till now; and I have seen from some replies in the forum that it takes upto 4 months after biometric. We do not have any option but travel to India in Mar-16, by which time her visa will be 4.5 months expired, and we would not have time to apply for her British passport,surrender Indian passport and then the OCI.
1. Can she travel on her Indian passport with her now expired Tier-1 dependent visa?
2. Can she come back to the UK with us, but without any valid visa?
What are my options?
