Hello All,

My son(4 yrs old) 's passport will expire in Nov 2016. I am planning to go to india in August for annual holidays and will return in September.

How early can i renew my son's passport please and will i face any issues returning/going to india in August that his passport expires in November?

You can renew or replace the passport at any time. Time left on an existing passport is added to your new one, up to a maximum of 9 months.

A British passport that is valid will guarantee entry into UK, even on its last day.

You can contact your airline to see if they have any additional policy related to passport expiry date.
