Time for biometric registration after BC application

Hello eveyrone!

I'm new to this forum so help would be much appreciated.

I am a university student, came to UK in 2007 as a dependent on my father's HSMP visa, got ILR in Jan 2012 and applying for citizenship now due to not having sufficient funds before.

My wife is a south african citizen and residing in SA. We're expecting our first baby in the first week of May. It has been 5 months since we have been apart due to me wanting to meet the residency requirement to apply for BC and applying before I leave.

So my appointment is booked for friday morning 22/01/15 at NCS Cardiff. I wanted to know how long it would take to get the letter to apply for biometrics? I want to go asap to SA as my wife needs the support at this time.

I have gone through the timeline thread and it seems very unpredictable. Some people have got the Biometrics appointment letter in less than a week whereas others has taken almost 40 days.

I just want to visit for the month until end of February and then come back.

I would be grateful if anyone with experience can advice.

Thanks

It varies but on average it's taking 25 days for applications via NCS. The one with less than a week are from new pilot scheme.

Normally within 1-2 weeks from the date when money is taken from your account.
