MN1 - NCS Project

Please help with more information about NCS project or my best option.

My UK born, indian passport 2yr child T1(dep) is out of visa now as I am due for ILR in couple of months. I will apply per child's MN1+Passport as soon as I get my ILR. I am full-time 5yr so ILR will be no hassles (fingers crossed).

Thus, I want child's passport at earliest in hand post my ILR.

As far as I am aware, the joint citizenship and passport project is only available at this stage for adult naturalisation and not for MN1.

Thank you.

After reading MN1 guidance, I am bit worried now.

When I get my ILR in couple of months, my spouse will still remain T1(D) until 2017.
My plan from reading and confirming on this forum earlier was that I can register my UK born child under MN1 Section 3(1).

However, MN1 guide on page 12 under "at Home Secretary's Discretion" says
Children in this category will be considered at the Home Secretary’s
discretion and will usually be registered only if both the parents are granted or already
hold British citizenship, or if one parent holds British citizenship and the other is
settled in the UK.
By numerous posts on this forum, my understanding was that my ILR (despite spouse remains T1-dep) will be sufficient for child's MN1 registration.

My understanding is that in this situation the child follows the immigration of the less advantaged parent. In this case your spouse, who from your post, doesn't appear to qualify for ILR with you. However wait for confirmation.

That is not relevant to you. You have said your child was born in the UK, it is an entitlement (not discretionary) to register.

Yes, child is UK born. I assume, it will be under section 3(1). Is it correct?

@Casa: I let child's T1(dep) expire two months back. I will nonetheless google old cases and MN1 guide. :?

A UK born child is registered under section 1(3)

Child DOES NOT need ILR to register under 1(3) as it is an entitlement (cannot be refused) to register.

It DOES NOT matter if child's visa expires before applying or while MN1 is in process. It will have NO effect on the outcome of MN1.

Thank you so much. It is 1(3)!!! :D

MN1 guidance is clear and so are old posts on forum. I messed it up with 3(1).

Experts, has MN1 started on NCS now? From this post, it looks like MN1 is on NCS.. if true, great news for me. However, I couldn't really locate by 'google' where it says NCS has it or NCS does not have it. Please guide.

A lot of people seem to have been doing MN1+PP at the NCS who offer JCAP service. I think it's probably a good idea to phone your local NCS to confirm they do it.
