Senior nurse: yes.
One of the 2 referees previously willing to act as referee for a naturalisation application: Yes; (choose the professional).

So long as Senior nurse is also a British citizen - yes if he/she also meets the other countersignatory requirements. If either of referees for your naturalisation application were both a professional & a British citizen, then yes.

The address doesn't matter;
that is why you have been advised a professional such as this nurse is (probably) acceptable.
The requirements are:
- not related to you;
not your representative;
no unspent convictions;
known you for X years;
There is no requirement about
where such a referee lives
.

Hi all,
Can I obtain referee signatures from husband (director of vat registered company as professional) and his wife as British passport holder)
Is there any particular concern for husband and wife to consider both as referees.
Regards

Tagging onto someone else's question is always confusing.
Your circumstances may not be same as theirs.
if you mean in connection with naturalisation then referees
cannot be related to each other (or to you).
If you mean for a passport application the guidance is less clear.
Personally I would follow the guidance as for naturalisation.
Ref HO guidance on this vital matter:
