Hello to everyone.

I came to the UK in September to start the university course, and I would like to stay after I finish. Probably, I would like to become a citizen eventually..

So, as I know, the EU-citizien is supposed to live 5 years as a qualified person to get Permanent Residence, and then another year to get Citizenship...

So, if I am going to be studying for 4 years and then work for another 2 years, I should be eligible to apply for British citizenship, am I right?

But how would I prove that I have been a qualified person for 6 years? Will my degree and employer's statement do as a proof? Is there anything else I am missing?

CSIC during the entire time you were/are a student, unless you were also a family member of a qualified EEA national parent in the UK.

If you have worked part-time continuously during your student years, you could qualify as a worker rather than as a student.

I haven't... But I am in the process of getting the job.

Speaking about CSI... I dont have it, but I have the EHIC card (I had got it in my home-country just before I came to the UK). Is it fine? Or I still need to apply for CSI?

I was looking for the information on this forum and found this:

This only counts if you had either Comprehensive Sickness Insurance (private health insurance) or a non-UK EHIC card for the entire period that you were a student.

So, probably, I am ok as I have my home-country issued EHIC card.. Am I right?
