Qualifying period and holiday issue

Post by yavooz » Fri Feb 26, 2016 11:29 am

Hi,

couldn't find an up to date answer on this;

I received ILR on 17/03/2015 through 5 years of Tier-1 general.

So when is the exact date that my 5 year qualifying period started?

- 5 years before ILR? (17/03/2010)
- 5 years before being eligible for neutralization? (17/03/2011)
- If I apply on 21/03/2016, 5 years before application date? (21/03/2011)?

I'm asking this because I was on holiday on one of these dates, and you are supposed to be physically present in the UK for some reason.

thanks a lot

Your 5 year qualifying period will start 5 years before the date of AN application.

If you intend to apply on 21st March 2016 then you need to be physically present in UK on 21st March 2011
