Father consent MN

Please help
I applied for my child to be register as British Citizen at the same time as me. I provided with the custody, I didn't provided the father consent and stated that I don't have any contact with him or my daughter. Because his address was in the custody document I provided it, and I've been requested because of that the father consent.
As I said I never hear from him in the time I been living in Uk, I asked a solicitor to find him and get the document from him in Dominican Republic. But he change he's address and he doesn't work where he use to, I don't have common friends , seen to be impossible to contact him.
can anybody tell me what can I do in this case, can my daughter be refused to be register as British citizen because of not having the parental consent when his father where about is not known?
