Hi All,
Is there anyone here who can help me clarify if my daughter is qualified to be registered as british born

My daughter was born in lewisham hospital precisely in April 2009 when I was post study visa, I switched on to tier 1 general in June 2010, extended 2013 and got my ILR in May 2015 due to apply for my british nationaly in May 2016.

Question
Can I apply to register my daughter as british citizen since I have been granted ILR now or do I have to wait until a particular time?

Would the fact that she was born before I was granted the route ?(Tier 1 general) on which I eraned my ILR have any impact in registering as british citizen?

Please I need help as I want to see if I can apply before the 18th deadline before the new fees kick in

Yes, yu can register her as British under section 1(3) of the nationality act on form MN1. You could have registered her as soon as you got ILR. Fees go up on Friday, 18th (current fee is £749. New fee from 18th March is £936).

Would the fact that she was born before I was granted the route ?(Tier 1 general) on which I eraned my ILR have any impact in registering as british citizen? No. She has an entitlement to register as British.

Please I need help as I want to see if I can apply before the 18th deadline before the new fees kick in

Does the new fee for form MN1 applies depending on the date that the application has been sent or the date on which the home office receives the application..Can someone please clarify..

If you send the application by post, it will be the date HO receives it. If you use NCS, it will be the date of your appointment. Unless you use a same day courier, it is now too late to apply by post before the fee increase. Today will be the last day of the old fees for those applying through NCS.

Yes, you will have to pay the new fee. Date of application is the date that HO receives it if applying by post.
