Spouse Naturalisation - Clarifications

Dear Friends

I have now got my naturalisation certificate.

My wife is on ILR for 1 year 4 months - She came into the country on 01/12/2012 although her tier-1 dependent visa was granted on 15/06/2012.

q1) She is eligible for british citizen spouse for 3 years in UK. Should she be physically present in UK 5 years prior on the date of application?

q2) She is contemplating on traveling to india for her pregnancy - in the event, her naturalisation application is approved while she is in india - is there an opportunity to extend the date of ceremony, past the regular 3 months?

Many thanks

She will need to have been physically present on the exact same date 3 years ago. If she applies on 1st April 2016, she must have been in the UK on 1st April 2013.
q2) She is contemplating on traveling to india for her pregnancy - in the event, her naturalisation application is approved while she is in india - is there an opportunity to extend the date of ceremony, past the regular 3 months?
Possibly.

I don't know. Not many people have done and rather travel back for the ceremony to avoid any problems and having to reapply and pay again for a whole new application.

Easier if baby is born in the UK.
