British passport -countersignatory - applying outside the UK

Hey guys,
I live in Brazil and will apply for my first British passport soon. I was reading about the countersignature to overseas applicants and got the following information: "Your countersignatory must have a current British, Irish or other EU, US or Commonwealth passport."
The problem is: since I live in Brazil, I don't know people with the mentioned passports to countersign my British passport application, only Brazilian citizens.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Any thoughts?
