My freind was born in UK before 1983 but has stayed all his life in India.
He has recently relocated to UAE and plans to apply for british passport from UAE. Can anyone suggest whether he is eligible to apply for the passport and if so then pls advice the process.

Went through the document. But it is too detailed. But sections 2.5.2 - 2.5.5 do indicate that my freind is British citizen by birth. Any idea?
