Return of Documents - UKM Citizenship Application

Hi all,
Hope someone can give me some advice on this.
I have applied for UK citizenship via my mother's citizenship, and have submitted my documents 2 months ago. My biometrics etc have all been done.
I live in Australia and have learnt I really need my passport returned to me ASAP as I have urgent need to travel overseas for work in the next few month.
How are we supposed to ask for this? There appears to be a major gap in the process. The online form is only for those who are in the UK, which I am not, but I also did not apply via the UKVI in Australia and isn't appropriate for this either. As a UKM applicant I applied directly to the Home Office. The online return form blocks you from continuing without a UK postcode.
I have sent an email but I get the impression this isn't well monitored.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
