Hey Guys, Firstly thankyou for the abundant information that you guys provide on these boards. It has helped me for many years. I have a question around fees. I made a joint naturalisation application and passport application in March and I can see the passport fee has already gone from my account 1 day after I was charged for the naturalisation application fee. Is that normal? Do they charge for passport even if your application is not successful?

Yes it's clearly mention on NCS sites of application got refusal passports fee will no be refunded. It seems they refused more applications and make more money. :D

That's interesting. You learn something new everyday. I wonder however if it applies with JACS, would they send your passport application out before the naturalisation application is processed? That wouldnt make sense but then again you never know.

I think as once they know the application is successful via council and home office and process the passport . The same like when home refused naturalisation they also inform to passport office the application is unsuccessful the application automatically considered withdrawn.
