I was on Tier-1 general and applied for Naturalisation in dec with my wife. We submitted all docs like Life in UK, UK degree and use local office service. We have kids with UK passport.

Payment was taken. My wife got a letter to send further information about property, savings, absence from UK (which is hardly 25 days) within 7 days, which we did it.

I thought we have a straightforward case but now getting concern it is taking too long.

Now my wife indian passport is ruining out in May. I want to find out:

1) Do my wife has to apply for indian passport until we get a feedback of naturalisation
2) No inquiry for me but I am main applicant and my wife is dependent
3) Can we travel abroad on current indian passport.
Please help

This is the first time I've read of anyone being required to give details on property and savings for a British citizenship application. :?

Applications can take months (4-6-8 months or even a year or so); HO advises progress/status-related questions are not entertained until at least 6 months point.

1) Not mandatory.

2) Can't see a question.

3) Question for airline of choice really.
