I got NCS appointment (in London) on 21st May which is a Saturday. I am planning to travel abroad on Thursday 26th May for 5 days.

Is there any risk here ?

Citizenship Faq

Q2: Can I travel after applying for naturalisation?

If applied using NCS, you will be able to keep your original documents so you will be able to travel following the application. Do remember:
1. You must in UK when Home Office receives the application.

is this still relevant ? In another post (http://www.immigrationboards.com/britis ... 15365.html) one of our distinguished member says that this rule is changed in June 2012 ? Can somebody please clairify ?

You can travel once you have submitted at NCS. There is NO requirement to be in the UK for the duration of the application process.

Just bear in mind if you have long travel plans, that you will need to be in the UK to enroll your biometrics.
