Hi All,

Can someone please help me answer the following.

I got my citizenship certificate today. I intend to apply for my wife's naturalization on 10th May. Can I do that just based on my certificate as passport may take another two weeks? She does meet the residence requirement for a British spouse.

If we apply via JCAP, can the professional referee be non-bristish or both refree needs to be Bristish?

Thank you for the confirmation. I applied via JCAP so I believe I will be good to get the passport automatically.

Can you advise about referee as well? can one of the referee be a Pakistani professional (meeting other requirements) if she intends to apply via JCAP.

You should get your passport within a few days.

Not sure about referees re JCAP. Passport form needs to be British professional as far as I am aware.

For JCAP applications, the referees are those from the AN form - you do not need separate referees. Just make sure your referees satisfy the requirement for naturalisation.
