Thank you. And what is the cost of the ceremony?

You have already paid the ceremony cost with your naturalisation application fee (£80 was included). A private ceremony costs extra.

... so only additional cost is things like transportation and a slap-up meal afterwards.

And the postage cost to send BRP back if the free post address is not used and the cost of the British Passport if JCAP was not used.

Thank you for the detailed information. After attending the ceremony can I travel to India on the Indian passport? Is there a grace period of 3 months?

You have to return your BRP card within 5 days of your ceremony or face a potential fine of £1000. Without your BRP, you cannot re-enter the UK.

Yes, 90 days grace to travel on your Indian passport.
Suggest if you are planning to do a short travel/visit, book your ceremony for when you have returned.

I called the Citizenship ceremony office in the county and they had already booked a ceremony for me on 22 June 2016. Can they do it on their own? How do I change this date now?

Yes, some councils do book it and just let you know. You can call them and tell them that date is not suitable and change it to the next one (if after your travels). You must attend your ceremony within 3 months of approval letter though, so just keep that in mind.
