Hi,

I am planing to apply for my UK born child for British citizenship as I just have ILR. I saw something about absence limit up to 270 days under 3(5). In 2013-2014 my son has been away more than 270 days. Does this absence limit apply to UK born child? MN1 form asking list all the absence last 3 years. I just worried he might not able to get it.

You can relax.
Your child has an entitlement to register under Section 1(3) of BNA,

Section 3(5) and absence limits don't apply in your case.

(You can still list absences as requested in section 2 of the MN1 form; just skip section 3 of form - it doesn't apply).
