HI, I received my ILR in May 2015, and I have been out of UK for 9 months, p let me know until when is my ILR valid.. Is it for 2 years from the time I left UK?

HI, I received my ILR and then left UK. Now if I return back to UK before two years of absence..when can I apply for the British passport?

You can't apply for a passport as you are not yet British.

Apply to naturalise first - to gain the privilege of citizenship.
Then shoot for the holy grail of a first British passport.

If you have a British spouse then naturalise as soon as all requirements have been/can be met;
if no such spouse then apply after you have held ILR for 12 months (& meet all requirements).

Take note of the absence rules for naturalisation.

Yes and short visits back to the UK during a 2 year absence won't retain it.
