Hi,
I am planning to apply for an adult first British passport after my citizenship ceremony on the 8/8/16. I understand that I will need to submiit in addition to the citizenship certificate, a passport for my current nationality. The issue I have is that my current passport has expired and I have booked an appointment to have it renewed by 31/08/16 at the High commision in London; but I would prefer not to wait until after I have my current passport renewed since I will be travelling to Germany in the first week of September.

My questions are:
- Assuming I applied for British passport on the 9/8/16; is it possible to request my documents back say after 2 weeks to enable me take my passport with me for renewal at the high commision?

- If this is not possible; what are the possible options that I may have please?

Thank you for your help

Ah well, the reason I said use the NCS is because I didn't read the question properly!
