Hi guys
I have a query re naturalisation of Tier 2 dependant

I currently hold an ILR aquired after a 5 year tier 2 general visa.
My two kids both born outside uk in 2013 and 2015 MA have a tier 2 dependant visa. Mother has been on a tier 2 dependant visa for about 2 1/2 years. So no one qualifies for an ILR yet,

My question is

1. After I get my British citizenship in January 2017, can my kids move straight from Tier 2 dependant to BC or ILR? (born outside UK)
or do they have to meet the 5 year condition

PLease note their Tier 2 dependant visas were granted in 2013 and 2015.

2. Will my wife have to go through the following route
5 years tier 2 dependant -->ILR--->12 months post ILR--->British citizenship

or can she be naturalised ealier based on my citizenship (once i get it in Jan 2017)

Thanks alot in advance for sharing your experience/knowledge

cheers

follow as below
wife applies ilr
once both parents have ilr, then only , kids become eligible for ilr.
if you have nationality by that time, then after they have got ilr, they can apply nationality net day.

1. No, the kids will follow the same path as their mother, they require ILR first and should apply with mother for ILR.

2. Your wife and kids will need ILR first. If you are British at that time, as soon as your wife gets ILR, she can apply (with the kids) for BC as spouse of BC. She does not need to wait 12 months on ILR but only IF you are British at the time.
or can she be naturalised ealier based on my citizenship (once i get it in Jan 2017)
Assuming of course you do get in Jan 2017. Some people have been waiting in excess of 1 year for a reply from HO. Your wife and kids sill need ILR first.
