Really thankful for experts to answer my previous queries .
Finally I got my approval letter few days back and I applied for my first british passport by using Check and Send service on 3rd of August. I have bar code giving by Post office which I whenever track by calling Passport Office they answer it is invalid.
After how many days I will get the confirmation as post office don't tell the exact situation.It insists on that Passport office must receive it on 4th of August.

As I'm in urgent situation and wants to travel .It all seems so frustrating .It seems my application is lost with my original supporting Documents and passports.I returned my BRP card already.No other travel document with me .
HOw I can find my application please any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Is the barcode number the one from the postage receipt or the one from the actual passport form you completed?

The barcode number is the one which I have on the postage

Do i need barcode number of the passport application ??

If the long tracking number ending with the letters GB is invalid on the Royal Mail tracking website, suggest contact PO.

You could phone the passport help line and ask them but you might need the form barcode for that.

I do not think there is a traking number when using the post office Check and send; what you get is the bar-code. I submitted my passport application yesterday using check and send and I remembered that the post master replaces the barcode on the application itself with the one from the post office.

In addition, the application receipt and notice handed to you by the post office indicate when calling the HO about your passport application, you could quote the new barcode number given to you by post office but you should allow 3 weeks before making enquiries.

its exactly right.I have also 9 digital barcode number which replaced my passport application form barcode.
I knew they said to wait upto 3 weeks but my 2 friends and almost everyone on passport timeline thread , got confirmation via sms or email.
And infact within 3 weeks the complete process usually took place.Then whats the point to wait for upto 3 weeks .
infact I'm waiting for upto one week and passport office itself got surprised that why they don't have any information on system regarding my application.
ideally after delivery the specific parcel they usually put on system all applicants information within two working days.

Its really worrying me .

Is there anybody whose situation is just like me.Usually when you call passport office ' helpline they ensure you they receive your application if one did not get sms confirmation after one week of submission.
But in my case helpline even could not able to confirm me.
