Can someone please guide if I can use software like Nitro or Adobe to fill application forms for Naturalisation (Both AN and MNI forms) or these forms must be filled by hand?

As per the guidance we should fill in BLOCK LETTERS, in black or blue ink. I think we should not fill the form from computer.
You can wait for guru's comments as well..

Thanks Ohara
Guidance only says ''fill in BLOCK LETTERS, in black or blue ink'' . It is not clear whether it is mandatory to fill forms by hand.
I will be using NCS, do you think person who handles my case at the council can object to machine filled forms?

If you are applying near future, Give a call to NCS and get it confirmed. If they are happy you can fill the forms using computer.
Please update us as well, So that it will be helpful for others.

Suresh

Some councils are accepting, I spoke to redbridge they said, they wont accept. But brent council will accept. Seems its depends on the council.

Just called Sutton NCS. Machine-typed is fine, but the referees section needs to be hand-written, and obviously the signature needs to be hand-made.
Makes sense. I've got an appointment in September with them and will do just that.
