Father Holds British Passport - Can I get Citizenship?

I currently live in the Bahamas and have recently found out that my father holds a British passport. My parents were married at the time of my birth. I would love to claim right of abode or citizenship if I can do so.
Am I able to claim anything through my father? If so, what steps need to be taken to do so?

Thank you!

Where were you born?
Is father citizen by descent or otherwise than by descent?

Have you and/or father lived in UK? (at same time or separately?)

No, my father nor I have lived in the UK. The Bahamas is a commonwealth country and was previously ran by the UK. At a certain time, Bahamians were able to apply for a British passport without having to live in the UK. My father obtained his passport this way, and I am wondering what this means for me.
I keep finding forms that speak about obtaining citizenship through my father if my parents were not married, but they were at the time of my birth.

So I'm assuming you were born outside UK.

Does father have a UK naturalisation certificate?
Is it a full British passport?

Assuming father is/was British other than by descent at date of your birth I think you've smashed it;
should be able to apply for passport directly.
