I am going to apply with my wife for ILR (same day service) on the basis of 5 yr Tier 2 General stay.

Our children hold Tier 2 dependant visa and were born in the UK.

We plan to get our ILR and then apply for the children's MN1 (registration certificate) through post and once the certificate is received, then apply for their UK passports.

My question is that can we apply through NCS for both the (MN1 and passport) at the same time? I have read it on a post in this forum from a user who did it this way.

Can someone clarify this please as it will help sending the documentation again for the children's passports.

Yes you can.

But you have stated the below first. So which one are you doing?

then apply for the children's MN1 (registration certificate) through post and once the certificate is received, then apply for their UK passports

We are going to apply for OUR ILR first (parents only) and THEN send MN1 form for children. Just wondering if can get NCS appointment, could save time and send BOTH MN1 + passport application?

Is that possible?

I know it is for AN + PP, but have been unable to find anywhere if it is possible for MN1 + PP.

Yes you can.

I wasn't asking about YOUR application for ILR.

Suggest use NCS JCAP scheme once you receive your ILR BRP card.

So we apply for ILR, get our BRP and then apply for children's MN1 + PASSPORT through NCS.

Dear Moderator,

Just want to add that the children will NOT be applying for ILR, but directly for MN1. Will that be okay to use NCS then for MN1 + PP for them in one go?

Once we parents get ILR, we will be applying for a joint MN1 + Passport application through NCS for our British Born children who are Tier 2 dependant visa holders.

My question is that in Section 5 on the passport application form, they ask for the 'Certificate of Naturalisation' number whereas it will not be available as the application will be submitted for joint MN1+PP.

If I tick NO, then will that cause any problems as obviously I won't have a Certificate of Naturalisation number for my children whilst submitting the MN1+PP form.

Any solution?

Children are REGISTERED. Adults are Naturalised.
