Hi all. I will lay out the facts below and then ask for your help

Date of Application for Citizenship: 12 July 2016
Based on - Marriage, so 3 years residence required

HO write to me and ask for passports between following dates:

13 July 2013 to 29 October 2013

1st Passport used in UK: Expired 2 October 2013
2nd Passport used in UK: Issued 29 October 2013 (since Expired also)

Question - I guess for period 13 July to 2 October 2013 my 1st Passport is ok.

What about for period 3 October 2013 to 29 October 2013?

I started new employer on 2 September 2013, which is still my current employer.

I have the following:
  • Letter from employer confirming start date of 2 September 2013 and currently employed.
  • P60 for 2013-14 tax year
  • Employment History Record Letter from HMRC showing start date with current employer as 6 September 2013 (does not match employer date exactly as few days lag I believe due to HMRC systems or something like that?)
Will all of these be ok as alternative evidence of residence?

I am upset because I used NCS and I brought all this with me and they said it is not needed...

To clarify, I have the following:
  • Original Payslips for Setpember 2013 and October 2013
  • Letter from employer confirming start date of 2 September 2013 and that am currently employed.
  • P60 for 2013-14 tax year
  • Employment History Record Letter from HMRC showing start date with current employer as 6 September 2013 (does not match employer date exactly as few days lag I believe due to HMRC systems or something like that?)

Yes official documents from employer and government department should suffice.

You could add any council tax, voter registration or medical-related documents into the mix if you have them.

Thanks

And just to clarify:

Fact that my emplyment started on 2 September 2013, but HMRC records reflect the end of that working week - 6 September 2013 - not an issue?

The point is to establish you were in the country.
Caseworker would probably be more suspicious if all documents matched up perfectly.

Thanks!

I guess original payslips are best as they are granular (month by month).
