Hi, my son is due or registration as a BC in 4 days, but my family is having a tribunal hearing in20 days and we are on legal aid and support, because we are not allowed to work. Could we put the cost of registration of my son which is almost a £1000 on our legal aid.?
Thanks

I
doubt it, if registration is not connected to ongoing case.

Thanks. In effect despite our family including our son is involved in the tribunal, the registration cost cannot be included ?. Problem being we cannot afford now and our lawyer has not got back to us of any solution making us have the advantage when going for the tribunal. We are currently provided shelter and weekly stipend .

What is the tribunal for?
How long have you lived in the UK?
How old is your son?
On what basis does he qualify for citizenship if you or the other parent don't have ILR?

The Tribunal is for an asylum claim. I have been here for 14 years . He qualifies because he turns 10 this October and was born in the U.K.

Unless you can find someone to help you with the cost, I don't think you will get Legal Aid to cover an application fee.
Citizenship applications can also take a long time, especially if a bit more complicated case.
