Hi forum members, recently joined the forum to seek advise regarding citizenship. Here is my story, I was refused entry into the uk in November 2006 due to working illegally and was sent back to Ghana but my girlfriend came in 2009 to get married to me and I applied for eea family permit and it was issued. In 2014 I was issued permanent residence card. The good character requirement says 10 years after I became known to the home office so in my case I guess it's 10 years from when they stopped me at the airport and sent me back. Please members and moderators pls advise me. Thanks

Yes, Its 10 years as the rule for good character requirements and I assume you have just passed it. At the same time I advise you to call HO and confirm it. ALSO, find out with a solicitor> goOD LUCK

It may be 10 years since you became regularised and/or 10 years before date of any application to naturalise.
