About naturalisation and passport applications

Hi guys, quick questions:

They sent my biometrics through post office 2 weeks ago for naturalisation , should I expect a proof of receipt from HO (Email or letter) or I need just to wait?

I saw in the timelines that many of you applied for naturalisation and passport at the same time. How does that work? I thought you had to be British before being eligible to apply.

Please let me know and many thanks.

HO won't write to you to confirm or acknowledge every step. Suggest be patient and wait.

The joint scheme is ONLY offered for applications submitted through NCS.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply.

I did it through NCS, no idea I could apply for passport at the same time lol

You have to specify you want to apply using scheme and submit both AN form and Passport form at the same time.

It's also not offered everywhere yet. My council has three locations for NCS but the joint passport application can only be done in one of them.

For general interest, an application can be submitted with any NCS. It doesn't have to be through your local Council.
