Proof of English knowledge through Life in the uk test

Hello. I'm getting documents together to apply for my British citizenship. Since I have the life in the uk certificate from before October 2013 I am hoping I can use it as my proof of English. The problem is, I have read that it is only valid if at the time I used another English certificate with my test when applying for the ILR visa I cannot for the life of me remember if I did that or not!! I do have a CAE from Cambridge so I might have.
On my LITUK test certificate it reads "your success at this test also demonstrates that your level of competence in English meets the required standard for naturalisation". So, does that means I don't need to prove it again?
Sorry about obvious question, I'm just looking for reassurance before I spend a whole lot of money applying!
Thank you.

You need B1 level English from a UKVI approved test provider in addition to the Life in the UK.
