Card payment

Hi

Apologies if this has been answered before; I tried to search but couldn't find the answer.

Has anyone paid Naturalisation application and Passport application fees with a debit or credit card issued by a bank abroad (that doesn't have a branch in UK)?

I would prefer to pay with my overseas bank card (I can use it for online shopping or anywhere in the world without a problem) but I am concerned that payment might fail and it would delay application.

As far as I can see, fees guidance only mentions that cheque payments require the bank to have a branch in UK.

Many thanks

It should be fine as long as it is a Visa debit/credit , MasterCard .. etc.

However , why wouldn't you use a UK based bank ?!!!
