Dear all,
I would be grateful for your advice with this query. I wish to know whether I need to take the IELTS to demonstrate the knowledge in English language?

I'm a Indian doctor who first came to UK in 2003 after IELTS and got the ILR back in 2009. I have the following post graduation qualifications from royal colleges in UK -MRCP and FRCPath. Currently I'm a consultant in NHS.

I have the passed the life in UK test. How do I tick the second box to demonstrate my language skills?
A) would the post- graduate qualifications be sufficient?
B) approaching NARIC won't be that easy as I assume it won't be straight forward to get a letter from Calicut University confirming that the bachelor's degree (MBBS) was taught in English.
C) repeat IELTS ?

Your advice would be much appreciated.

Redoing SELT IELTS at an HO approved test provider will be the quickest way, option C.

This may literally and figuratively be just what the doctor ordered:

Applicants holding a post-graduate diploma, or a graduate diploma from a UK university, are considered to have the required level of English for a settlement or citizenship application.
