Overseas address

Hello guys I had submitted my application on 23rd Dec 2016. Had done biometric on 12 Jan if I remember correctly. I have received an email from Home Office to provide overseas address during my long 175 days absence from UK. Is it normal procedure to ask overseas address? during that time I was living share in UK which I left before going away. its ok?
