Right of Abode Travel Issue

My daughter is currently holding a Chinese passport with Right of Abode certificate attached to it. She is currently in China and her passport with Right of Abode certificate is due to expire on 30/June/2017, and the Right of Abode certificate has the same expire date. She has already applied a new replacement Chinese passport.

My question is if she can entre UK with both new and old passports before 30/June/2017, ie. A renewed Chinese passport without RoA certificate, together with the old passport with RoA certificate attached to it. Of course the old passport is no longer valid after the new passport is issued. Normally you can entre UK if an unexpired visa is attached to old passport, but I am not sure if the same rule applies to RoA, becasue on the RoA certificate there is a note 'Valid for presentation at a UK port within the validity of this passport'.

I will be grateful if someone has similar experience can answer my question. Thanks a lot!

Right of Abode Certificate Application

On the Guide RoA, it says Applicant was born in the UK on or after 21 May 2002 need to submit parents' marriage certificate (if claiming through father and applicant born before 1 July 2006).

I am applying for my daughter. She is claiming through father but she was born in 2012. Is that mean the marrage certificate does not need to be provided?

Thanks!

This seems to prevent carrying two passports, with the CoE-RoA in the expired passport.

Yes. Although there is no harm in providing one.

Hi there,
Have your daughter travelled back to UK with old passport (having ROA) and new Passport (Blank)?
Thank you in advance.
