Is Original P60 Required for Naturalisation Application

Hi Everyone,

I would be really grateful if members can please help me with few questions below.

I am scheduled to apply for naturalisation in a month's time and preparing my application and supporting docs.
Since last year, my company had started providing electronic P60s rather than hard copy. I can definitely take a print out of the electronic version.

Question: Is an Original (Hard Copy) P60 required for the naturalisation application or would a print out of electronic P60 would be fine. If an original is required, then how do I get it (ofcourse I will ask our HR as well but any other way).

Question: Since I am applying in April 2017, P60 for the tax year 2016-2017 would not be available, what should I do about that? I can provide pay slips if required.

Question: My absences in last 5 years accumulate to 476 days. Do I have to provide a letter from employer for these absences?

I would appreciate all responses.
Thanks a lot.
R

If you are submitting Online P60 then get it stamped / signed by HR, or just get a letter from employer confirming employment.
Absences: per AN guidance normally up to 480 is acceptable, and 90 days in the year up to application. Also ensure you were in the UK five years prior to the application date.

Thanks a lot Alterhase, appreciate your help.

Any advice on P60 for current tax year i.e. tax year ending April 2017. My appointment is on 21 April 2017.
Thanks

I would just take the latest pay slip, i.e. March, should be fine as that shows your year to date pay & tax/NI.
