NCS Naturalisation Alternative proof of residency refused

Will try and keep it as short as possible
Came to the UK in 2002 as a 17 year old and never left, passport expired 2012, which i misplaced about 2 years ago. Asylum case was rejected in 2003, which meant i wasn't allowed to work till i got my ILR in January 2014 - yes took 12 years
Had an NCS appointment yesterday, 2 mins of sitting down she refused to take my alternative proof of residency which included:
Section 1 Evidence of Identity
BRP
Driving License
Section 3 Evidence of Lawful residence 5yrs
Home Office Correspondence addressed to myself
I had to report to H/O every 2 months and they would stamp the letter each time to show attendance, i used it as my evidence also.
Letter addressed to myself from HMRC showing NI Contributions
Asylum support letter
Which NCS refused all these saying the Home Office won't accept it as this doesn't prove you've been in the country. She gave an example of illegal immigrants sneaking into the UK and said how do they know may be you have snuck out of the country
like seriouly, how?
She goes the application is perfect bar the proof of lawful residency.
''If you are unable to provide your passport explain why on page
22 and supply letters from employers, educational establishments or other government departments indicating the applicant’s presence in the United Kingdom during the relevant period''
Does this mean i can use letters addressed to me covering the 5 years as evidence or i have to call the relevant departments and ask them to write letters that confirm my presence in the UK???
Need help guys, has anyone been through this via NCS and what steps did you take to rectify this. I just lost £60
Thanks
