NCS Naturalisation Alternative proof of residency refused

Will try and keep it as short as possible

Came to the UK in 2002 as a 17 year old and never left, passport expired 2012, which i misplaced about 2 years ago. Asylum case was rejected in 2003, which meant i wasn't allowed to work till i got my ILR in January 2014 - yes took 12 years :(
Had an NCS appointment yesterday, 2 mins of sitting down she refused to take my alternative proof of residency which included:
Section 1 Evidence of Identity
BRP
Driving License

Section 3 Evidence of Lawful residence 5yrs
Home Office Correspondence addressed to myself
I had to report to H/O every 2 months and they would stamp the letter each time to show attendance, i used it as my evidence also.
Letter addressed to myself from HMRC showing NI Contributions
Asylum support letter

Which NCS refused all these saying the Home Office won't accept it as this doesn't prove you've been in the country. She gave an example of illegal immigrants sneaking into the UK and said how do they know may be you have snuck out of the country    like seriouly, how?

She goes the application is perfect bar the proof of lawful residency.
''If you are unable to provide your passport explain why on page
22 and supply letters from employers, educational establishments or other government departments indicating the applicant’s presence in the United Kingdom during the relevant period''
Does this mean i can use letters addressed to me covering the 5 years as evidence or i have to call the relevant departments and ask them to write letters that confirm my presence in the UK???

Need help guys, has anyone been through this via NCS and what steps did you take to rectify this. I just lost £60

Thanks

Almost similar circumstances for me. I managed to get all professional people, mainly medical professionals in the NHS who's clinics I attended and my COE vicar who saw me at church throughout the whole qualifying period to write letters and I provided a cover letter for each of those supporting letters and submitted by post. Lost £95 too.

She thought you sneaked into the UK every two months? Did she think the Home Office regarded its UK Border Force as terrible as that?

Suggest using another NCS.

Cheers vinny, i'll try that, just don't want to loose another £60 =£120 before i even send my applications. I was in shock when she said that. Home office had our passports from date of entry in 2002 till ILR was granted on top of that we started reporting every fortnight, then monthly and then every 2 months because we had proved we were less of a risk when it came to absconding.

Any thought on just doing the application myself and providing covering letter like Chino2k has suggested? Even though i wanted NCS because i could put inthe passport application at the same time also :!:

Hi, I am in the same situation my NCS made me sign a disclaimer and sent my application off with the HO report centre documents that I have. I tried to get in contact with the centre where I used to report but no luck with answering the phone. I did call visa/immigration department and they advised my expired passport and biometric should be enough. I'm now worried because the NCS lady didn't make me feel confident. Hopefully, they will request for more evidence if what I sent is not efficient enough rather than refusing the application. Good luck with your application if you have any updates please share.
