sequence of Registration Certificate & British Passport

Hi All,

Hope everyone is doing well. We will be appreciated for a quick clarification regarding the sequences since a child applies to registration till obtaining the British Passport. As we applied for our four children ( 9, 8, 6, 4 years old, and all of them were born in the UK) but we still have some confusion.

we already applied for registration and the fees have already been withdrawn. Now, what is the sequence of biometric enrolment, received the registration certificate and applying for a British passport.

Also IS there a ceremony for the children or they can apply directly for the British passport?

Thank you in advance for your cooperation

Best wishes

No ceremony for children. Only adults aged 18 and over attend a ceremony.

1. Apply

2. Fees debited

3. A few weeks to receive biometric letters. Take to post office with kids and get biometrics done (there is a fee for this).

4. Wait

5. You will receive a letter of approval standard 2nd class post.

6. You will receive registration certificate in the post.

7. Apply for passports.

8. Send to HMPO with supporting documents.

9. Wait

10. Get documents and passport back.

The whole process can take a few months.
