Employment history

Hi,
I'm filling an AN application form and don't know what to do with my work history. I came to UK in December 2006 but started to work in May 2008 and working ever since. As it asks me for 10 year history at the moment I have 9 year history. If I take "or since the entry date" than there is a 1.5 year gap in the beggining. Do I write there Unemployed or just start with the first job in 2008?
I phoned immigration helpline but they weren't really sure . They said maybe it would be good if I put there Unemployed and than on page 22 explain that my husband was working and I looked after my daughter and also provide his employment history which sounded a little bit complicated.
I obtained Permament resident card last summer 2016.
Anyone can help?
Thank you

You are over thinking.

Not everyone has 10 years employment history. List the dates you have.l worked.

To be honest I hope I'm over thinking. ;) I even thought of waiting till May when my 10 years will be . I'm just not sure if they may have problems with me not working for this 1.5 y and I didn't have privare insurance or anything , it was just my hudband working. Tahts it. Hmm

Employment is not mandatory for citizenship. Some people are only here for 6 years before they apply for BC and they certainly don't have 10 years employment, I certainly didn't.

Thats why the form says "OR since the date of entry" if applicable probably. Even if you were a stay at home parent, it will not be viewed badly by HO.
