Refused AN application. Can I go for RN?

I was granted PR card in 2014. I applidd for citizenship in March. They sent me a letter to send further documents but I wasn't reading the letter properly so I sent only my passport. I got a letter yesterday that my application has been refused because I didn't provide everything they asked. We just had a baby 2 months ago and it's been a very stressful time for us. Do you think if we apply for reconsideration they will accept it? Or shall we apply for AN again and let that money go?:(
