Hello,

I am a non eea national family member of an eu national. My father is Dutch and he sponsored me from Iraq I came to Uk in NOVEMBER 2011 on the status of 6 months permit to join family member eea, then after 6 few of staying in the uk I was granted with residence documentation of family members of an eea national issued Feb 2012 which valid for 5 years. And in January 2017 I applied for Permanent residence and I received my permanent residence last week and in the letter also it says I am deemed to aquire for permanent date is November 2016. My question is when can I apply for British citizenship and what should I provide???? When I ask my solicitor she is telling me I have to wait from the date which is issued in my BRP card which is this July because you are non eea national not EU national or spouse of British citizen. I really need advise if she is right I should wait until next July 2018 or I can I apply in November this year ????? And she is telling me citizenship department is different to permanent eea department, I was thinking will that be in my database the date I was acquired I'm lost. PLEASE HELP I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ADVICE AS I HAD NO WHERE TO ASK THIS SO I CAME ON THIS FORUM SHARING MY SITUATION. THANK YOU

HO told you that you acquired PR in November 2016, and the year waiting starts from that date, not from the issue date shown on the card.

Do I need to send my fathers 5 years payslips, p60 and bank statements and mine to prove I was here since November 2011 plus the one year starting my aquiring of PR ?? My question is that is it in the HO database that I'm aquired from Nov 2016 ? Especially when the citizenship case worker opens my case ? But I'm shocked how my solicitor told me I can't even I empasised her this few times she kept saying from the date on your BRP card starts but if you apply earlier than that you will be rejected because citizenship department is separate from eea department and you are non eea she said if you were eu citizen you could apply in Nov 2017 ? I want to know so I can pass my life in the uk and English, because next year im going 3rd year of my university and I won't have time to do all that's why I'm stressing

Secret simon just answered you and you are still asking the same question. There is no point asking questions if you are still doubting. Check the link for the documents you need. You have to do some research yourself.

Ok thank you, I am just upset on my lawer how the she become a solicitor if doesnt have knowledge and information about law and immigration and they are good at charging clients £1000 which I paid for my PR application a big mistake I made and I wont go to lawer making my naturalisation a big lesson learned.

The date which I was acquired for PR, is it already saved in the database of the HO in case if lose the letter or don't send it I mean when the citizenship case worker open my case will he be able to see it on the HO database, for example If I don't provide the letter of acquired of PR date, when applying for BC ? ?

Use the NCS service at your local council to submit your application, they will copy your documents and certify the copies and return all your originals back to you (including passport, BRP, etc). I don't know what the UKVI person will see on their system. Just make sure you don't loose your originals!
You could also apply for your British passport at the same time.

Should I submit all the 6 years documents all over again and even those 5 years bank my fathers bank statements, p60, payslips, utility bills prove of been living here and evidence of showing my dependency on my father because I'm 22 ?????

Hi, please need advice

To apply for naturalisation i have been told that the name will appear same as it appear on my BRP card. Now I renewed my passport in my country embassy in uk for example my name on old passport was AA son of BB CC, and on my BRP card my name appears as AA BB CC, which i dont have BB middle name. So i renew my passport and it will appear as AA CC, so now can I do premium service for my BRP permanent card to make the names as it appears on my new passport ??
