British Citizenship

Hello all,

I am new to this. So please be gentle … I have a feeling I want to get off my chest.

I have been in UK for over 6 years, got PR last year, and I have sat my English test + life in the UK test.
Never claimed a penny and always worked.

After the whole Brexit I have decided to apply for British citizenship, next month.
The Brexit left me feeling breathless and like "EU citizens" were being held as a negations tool, which I didn’t like.

So that way I decided to apply for citizenship to be a part of UK and more secure.
A part of me is thinking if I don’t get it I will move back home, as I don’t want to feel allowed in UK but not accepted.

Just my feelings.

Anyway here is question: Is it straight forward?? As in approval? How long does it take?
No bankruptcy, no criminal record, no fines, no taxes owed, nothing.

Thanks all,

Anna

Hi

The application is very straight forward. You need 2 references on the form. 1 passport photo. We had our marriage book, wife passport , my passport with entry stamps , life in the uk certificate, b1 english certificate, my biometrics resident permit . We used a National checking service and it was so much easier and I got my documents back there and then.
