Hi all,

I have applied for citizenship and recieved letter asking for more evidence for certain periods.
Az I was on and off work during this time, I was also out of the country, so can't provide them
I have the PR and no more than 450 out of country days requirements within 5 years and 90 days for the last year

I am confused to what to replay and how to proceed. Any advice?

Suggest you explain each period absence they query as clearly/simply as possible - if there are any documents supporting your explanations include them. I expect something official issued by HMRC, Council, etc, addressed to your UK address in your absence would be helpful.

This is what I try to explain
I have no evidence of residence because I was abroud on a holiday for 5 months and I didn't have address as it was pointless. I was keepin only my bank accout, but didn't use it abroad , I had different ones.
I have specifically pointed out that in that period I was on holiday, and yet I am asked to provide proof of residence.
And yet I don't see why this is important and how could affect my application as I have in total less than 450 for the five year period and less than 90 days within the last 12 moths. Also I was physically presen 5 years prior application.
Has someone been in similar positio?
Any advice or comments?
Regards

After several phone calls with Home Office and immigration lawyers non of whom have ever heard of asking residence evidence for periods that specifically are been pointed as out of country I start to think that this is one of the those letters that they send in hope that nobody will respond within the 14 days period. The day on the letter said 18th and it arrives on the 23th of August. It stated that if no response is sent by 1st of September the application will be refused. If we were away on holiday as we usually are around this time.....which is evident on our papers as well! On the letter of my partner there was also a clear mistake/ typo in one of the dates, which looked very unprofessional.
Is it just me hopeful to think that?I have come across some comments of people beeing refused simply they couldn't respond within the 14 days due to beeing away?
