help please

Hello there,

I was wondering if someone could help me please?

I have recently submitted my Naturalisation application to the home office UK. I filled in the application with the help of a solicitor throughout a period of a month or so. Certain documents/ pages were completed on different days throughout that period etc.

I submitted the application on the 25/08 and everything else within the application information/referee pages is signed/dated within 2 weeks period prior to the submission date (25/08). However the solicitor made an error and dated the last declaration page 25/07..which is a month earlier!! I didn't notice that when I signed it.. only now that I'm going through the copy I saw it...
Now would this be a problem? If so, how can I fix this error...?

I'm very worried. I have been working on this almost my entire life.. I don' want something stupid like this to ruin it for me..

I'd really appreciate your comments and advice.

Thank you,
Noor

Why did solicitor put dates on your form first of all? You only put date on something when you sign it, specially any home office forms. I don't think it will be much of an issue though.

The most they can do is to ask you to sign & date the declarations again. They will not refuse your application solely because of this.

Thank you for your reply.

I have contacted my solicitor and she thinks it shouldn't be a problem. Now I think it would be best to send a letter explaining that it was an oversight and attach an updated declaration page with the corrected date.
However I got the sense from my lawyer that it is not necessary.
I would really appreciate it if I can get another opinion to whether submitting the update declaration page is a good idea or not?

I'm also moving addresses at the end of this month, would it be sufficient enough to send the new proof of address with a letter confirming this by post or does this need to be done online as well?

Thank you!
Noor
