Temporary vs Permanent Address during BC application process

Dear all,

During my application for naturalization, I stated my parents' (aka home) address in all the paper work (AN form) sent to Home Office. Pretty much straight after that I got a job offer in another town, which I accepted and moved to a new place. As the new company got a 6 months probation, I decided to save money and to move into a property rented directly by the landlord (no official agency type of conract).

Right now I got a dilemma - shall I state that new address from the new town, considering I don't officially rent it and which might need to be changed within a week in case my new employer decides to get rid of me? Or shall I keep the original home address, since I visit it from time to time and have instant access to all the mail?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Have you already submitted your biometrics (it looks like you applied in May, so I assume the answer is yes)? Can your parents be trusted to let you know if you have any post from the Home Office (for instance, a decision letter, or a letter asking for further information)? Is it feasible for you to attend a citizenship ceremony in the local authority where your parents live?

If the answers to all of the above are yes, then I wouldn't bother updating the Home Office about your address, especially since it's possible that they might send your decision letter to your parents' home anyway before they get a chance to process your change of address. However, it's up to you. The details about your lease (or lack thereof) don't matter—they just need a way to contact you.
